This poster was designed in conjunction with the 2000-2003 U.S. Department of Education Fund for the Improvement of Post-Secondary Education (FIPSE) grant, “Seeing the Body Elsewise: Connecting the Humanities and the Health Sciences.” The three-year (with fourth- year no cost) grant with the University of Michigan and Michigan State University was to develop an interdisciplinary pre-health curriculum to teach students about the intersections of race, gender, ethnicity and health. I was the PI for WSU and developed a course called, “Information Design and Visualizing the Human Body.” $249,000; $16,000 WSU
